The CHALLENGER specializes in close range combat and heightened survivability.

The Challenger is one of four Archetypes available when talking to Wallace for the first time, but can also be unlocked later as well. They are a close ranged Archetype with powerful offensive and defensive options, typically equipped with heavy armor to sustain in combat. Their starting equipment includes a shotgun and a greatsword, allowing the traveler to handle enemies as seen fit.

Their unique Archetype trait is Strong Back, allowing the traveler to equip heavier armor with less of a drawback, and their prime perk Die Hard offers a secondary life on a long cooldown when chosen as the primary Archetype.

Base Creates a high-impact tremor that deals 150 - 450 damage and additional stagger in a forward cone up to 7.5m. Deals damage in all directions at point blank range.
Juggernaut
(Cooldown: 75s)
5 Become nearly unstoppable, gaining 3 stacks of BULWARKIncreases damage resistance.

1 Stack: +7% DR
2 Stacks: +13% DR
3 Stacks: +18% DR
4 Stacks: +22% DR
5 Stacks: +25% DR
. 15% Movement, Melee Speed, and Reduced Stamina Cost. Increases Melee damage by 50%. Stagger Level reduced by 1. Lasts 25s.
Rampage
(Cooldown: 90s)
10 Enters a heightened state of battle which increases Fire Rate by 10%, Reload Speed by 25%, and Movement Speed by 15%. Lasts 10s.

Kills and dealing significant damage grant 1 Stack of RAGE which increases Ranged Damage by 2.5% per Stack. Upon reaching 10 Stacks, the Challenger goes BERSERK, which reloads their current firearm and doubles Rampage effects for 15s.

. Can only happen once every 10 minutes. Resets at Worldstone or on death.

Intimidating Presence

2 After activating a Challenger Skill, enemies within 15m deal 10% less damage for 15s.
7 After activating a Challenger Skill, enemies within 15m deal 10% less damage for 15s, with an additional 2.5% damage reduction per enemy affected. (Max 10%).
Powerlifter
UTILITY
3 The Stamina Cost increase for each weight bracket is reduced by 50%.
8 Both the Stamina cost increase for each weight bracket and Stamina Regen Delay are reduced by 50%.
Face of Danger
RELIC
4 Using a Relic within 10m of an enemy grants 2 stacks of BULWARKIncreases damage resistance.

Increases Dodge Weight Threshold by 1.5 - 15.

  1. Purchase the Old Metal Tool from Reggie in Ward 13 for 1,500
  2. Craft it into the Steel Enswell engram at Wallace in Ward 13.
