Behavior[edit | edit source]

To defeat the Labyrinth Sentinel, the Traveler must destroy 12 weakspots divided roughly evenly across all cubes. Which cubes have 2 weakspots, and which have 1 is random across attempts. Once all weakspots on a given cube are destroyed, it will lose its purple glow.

Four of the cubes will be on the ground, steadily moving through the corridors. Every time they flip onto a side, they crush anything caught underneath. This instantly kills targets, and bypasses the downed state as well as any type of revive. They will have one or two "safe zones" in the form of holes in their sides. Being caught under the hole will not crush the Traveler. Additional safe spots will be created wherever a weakspot is destroyed.

Each cube keeps to a set path, and safe ground remains so the entire fight. The only exception to this is the cube directly at the entrance, which will slowly shift over time.

The remaining four will hover above the corners of the arena, rotating steadily. They will send projectiles at the Traveler, which can be destroyed for ammo. Every now and then one cube will charge a deletion zone, which will slowly move forwards, continously damaging foes caught within. Trying to avoid it can easily goad the Traveler into the path of another cube.
This ability has a cooldown of 45s.

Each difficulty adds additional weakspots to destroy, at the same time reducing the initial safe spots:

Notes & Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Labyrinth Sentinel is immune to damage from all status effects.
  • Although the Traveler is generally incapable of inflicting blights, Labyrinth Sentinel is the only enemy in the game to have Blight resistance greater than 0.
  • Entering the hidden passage towards Leto's stash before defeating the Sentinel allow the Traveler to permanently destroy one of the weakspots, reducing the Sentinel's health in all future attempts in that run.
  • The Sentinel can inflict damage to itself should on of its projectiles hit a weakspot.
