The path to righteous sovereignty is cleaved in blood. That was your teaching when you yet had aught to teach. For the Fae are wicked, violent beings, and blood is all we understand; so you claimed, and so all believed.
But let me tell you what I know of blood.
The Fae bleed potential in a world that denies us at every turn, for a so-called god-king who denies the truth of what we are. He seeks to mutate what I dare embrace.
For in me flows the blood of Fae and divinity both, and I will master our people in ways you never could. Only I understand the true nature of the Fae—only I might rule them as they are. You may forsake me now, Father, but when I return, I will seize the birthright my blood is due.
