'''Corrupted Ravager''' is the World Boss in the Ravager storyline on Yaesha. Ravager is a returning character from Remnant: From the Ashes, having now been corrupted by the Root. There are 4 possible solutions to the Ravager encounter, and each counts as defeating the World Boss of Yaesha. Depending on how the player chooses to approach this boss fight, they will receive 1 of 3 crafting materials or an amulet. The outcome of this boss fight also affects some dialogue and additional rewards from [[Bedel]] and whether or not the [[Red Doe|Doe]] appears for the rest of the player’s roll in Yaesha.


==Behavior==
Instead of immediately attacking, the Ravager will remain passive, urging the [[Traveler]] to kill the Red Doe. Choosing to do so will skip any battle.

Alternatively, a relic charge can be sacrificed to heal the Doe. This will play a cutscene in which it impales the Ravager with its antlers. This inflicts an 80s {{type|bleed|BLEED}} effect on the Ravager, dealing roughly 18% of its health in total.
<br/>This will only occur once, in the same attempt where the Doe is healed.

In melee, the Ravager may repeatedly use two-hit combos, consisting of bites and claw swipes. Should he pull back slightly, a longer pounce will follow, moving forward some distance while biting the space in front of him.
<br/>The Ravager's bites have a chance to inflict {{type|bleed|BLEED}}, the claw swipes however do not.

Sometimes he may leap, before pushing off again mid-air, landing at a distance and potentially knocking over the [[Traveler]].
At longer ranges, he will sink his claws into the ground while gathering power, before sending a shockwave forward in a line.

===Fight Progression===
At 80% health, he will shake off several "fleas", red bulbs that land on the ground nearby and hatch into [[Root Hollow]]s after a short while. The growth on his back, usually his weakspot, will become partially armored during this animation.

He will repeat this ability at 60% remaining health, but this time he will also howl to summon an empowering fog, granting a damage buff to himself and his reinforcements. 
If the Doe was not yet healed or killed by the [[Traveler]], the Ravager will use this opportunity to devour it. For the remainder of this attempt, he will gain 10% damage reduction.
<br/> The Doe will remain dead through further attempts, meaning this can only happen a single time.

If not in immediate range, the Ravager can now rear up before charging at the [[Traveler]], attempting to bite them.
Alternatively, he may choose to bring the [[Traveler]] towards him, rapidly circling in place&mdash;creating a vortex that pulls his foes in and inflicts damage on anything caught inside.

At 35% he will empower a last group of Hollows.
Afterwards he gains one final ability, in which he charges towards the [[Traveler]] only to stop short, gathering energy. After a short delay, he releases it in a staggering howl, inflicting damage in a large area.
