Worlds
There are several worlds in Remnant 2 that you'll travel between as you continue your adventures. In Campaign Mode, one storyline and selections from the pool of side paths and injectables will spawn for Yaesha, Losomn, and N'Erud in a random order. Players can determine which storyline has spawned based on the map’s starting location. The Labyrinth will always appear after defeating the first World Bosses, and Root Earth will always be the final world. Both the Labyrinth and Root Earth are static and will always contain the same loot in the same locations.
Completing a world’s storyline unlocks it in Adventure Mode, where it can be re-rolled at any difficulty to experience all of the different dungeons and possible spawns. Adventure Mode is only available for Yaesha, Losomn, and N’Erud. Any quest items picked up in Adventure Mode will leave the player’s inventory when transferring to the Campaign or when re-rolling another Adventure.
Each location's set of enemies and bosses will scale to your character's Power Level as you first enter, up to a maximum World Level of 21.
The first DLC expansion, The Awakened King, was released on November 14, 2023. It adds a new storyline for Losomn along with a new archetype, weapons, armor, mods, mutators, rings, amulets, traits, relics, and consumables.
The second DLC expansion, The Forgotten Kingdom, was released on April 23, 2024 alongside a large balance and quality of life patch. It adds a new storyline for Yaesha along with a new archetype, weapons, armor, mods, mutators, rings, amulets, traits, relics, and consumables.
Each DLC can initially be accessed as a one-shot in Adventure Mode, which guarantees spawns of the new storyline and dungeons. It may also be accessed by re-rolling the corresponding world as long as the DLC is owned and is automatically added into the possible spawns for the Campaign.
